THE PROBLEM
Start by auditing what already exists
Before designing anything new, I screenshot the current app, numbered every friction point, and ranked them. This audit became the shared source of truth.
WORK
The app looked dated, hid key information, buried the price, and made simple tasks hard.
I rebuilt the core renter journey, from search results to property details, around modern tap targets, consistent spacing, and clearer information hierarchy.

Search Results Page

How might help renters compare listings at a glance, and act on while supporting the business goal of increasing leads?
Mix methods: interviews explain the why, surveys show the how many, and competitor teardowns show what is already normal.

Lead with what renters compare
Price by bed type, location, and highlights go to the top of every card. Secondary details go below.
Increase tap target
Lead buttons and media icons meet 44pt on iOS and 48dp on Android.
One pattern, every surface
The placard, the map card, and the listing page share the same structure, so renters don’t have to relearn the layout.
I made leads equal width with a gap on the 8pt grid, and sized them to meet 44pt on iOS and 48dp on Android, with the hit area extending past the visible button.

Amenities Exploration
Renters want three answers fast: what it costs, where it is, and what it offers. The old app failed to have clear information hierarchy and buttons fell below platform tap-target minimums.

I designed and wrote specs for every variation, on both iOS and Android.

VQA/Working with Devs
Small details add up
Tap targets and spacing seem minor alone, but together they made the app feel modern again.
Consistency beats cleverness
Certain decision taught me to favor patterns renters already recognize.
QA is part of design
Documenting every variation was tedious, but it kept both platforms from drifting apart.
